On October 5th, 2021 Windows began prompting users to update to Windows 11. Our Windows based photo booths integrate software from various providers for many functionalities. We strongly recommend you continue operating your photo booth on your current version of Windows, and do not allow the update for Windows 11 for at least 6 months. This will ensure that your software continues to run without any unforeseen issues.
Follow the simple steps below to prevent your system from automatically upgrading to Windows 11.
- In the Windows taskbar search menu, type 'Services'
- Click on the 'Services' App icon that shows up
- Scroll down to 'Windows Update' and right click. Select 'Properties'
- Set 'Startup Type' as 'disabled', then click 'Apply'
This will prevent any updates from running without your knowledge. Once we have fully vetted Windows 11, we will let you know and provide instructions for allowing the update to install.
