The default password on our Automated AI Facial Recognition units is 123456. If you accidently change this password or forget what you changed it to, you will need to uninstall and re-install the MIPS App that it came with. You may follow the directions below to achieve this.
You will need the following:
- A USB wired mouse
- A USB wired keyboard
- A blank USB thumb drive reformatted as a FAT file system
- The MIPS software Android APK - you may download from here
Step 1: Download the APK from the link above. Once completed, extract the contents to the root of your USB drive
Step 2: Power your kiosk on so that it boots to the MIPS program (this is the temperature scanning program loaded by default) and plug in your USB keyboard and USB mouse. On the keyboard, press the Alt+tab buttons. The kiosk will switch to the Android Settings.
In the Settings menu, browse to 'Apps', then click on 'MIPS'. Click the Uninstall button and follow prompts.
Step 3: Unplug the keyboard and plug in the USB drive with the APK file. In the Android Settings menu, click 'Storage' then click 'USB Drive'. Double-click the MIPS program icon to install it.
The app is now re-installed with the default password 123456.
