Follow the steps below in order to setup basic Temperature Scanning and Facemask Detection functions in the Kiosk Client Menu.


You will need the following items:


  • For Basic Setup (Temperature Scanning and Mask Detection:
    • A wired usb-mouse, with center scroll wheel
      • Note: The touchscreen is deactivated for security purposes. 
        • For Android Settings, right-click on the screen
        • For Temperature Scanner settings, middle-click on the screen



  1. Power your kiosk on. Wait for the spinning logo to appear (less than one minute)
  2. Plug your wired mouse into an open USB port on the kiosk
  3. Right-click the mouse, you will be prompted to enter a password. The default password is 123456



You will now see the Android home screen. Click on the settings logo (the gearbox) to enter your wifi credentials:



Select your wifi network and enter your password:



Right Click the Mouse to go back to Android Settings Page


Scroll down and click on Date & Time:


Disable Automatic Date & Time and Automatic Time Zone options. You can now click Set Time and manually set the time for your location:


  1. Exit the Android settings (left click on mouse)
  2. You will now be back to the Temperature Scanning program
  3. Click the middle button or scroll wheel to access the Temperature Scanner settings. The default password is 123456


4. Click 'Application Settings'


In this settings menu you may adjust relevant functions by either toggling an option on/off, or changing the numerical/text values:

  • Name Setting (this shows up during guest scanning)
  • Temperature Adjustments
  • Face-mask Detection
  • Volume Settings
  • Display Brightness
  • Screensaver Settings
  • Startup Settings
  • Recognition Effects
  • time settings



5. Click on 'Body Temperature Setting'

  • Set Options according to your needs
  • Alarm Threshold can be kept at default value
  • Please Note: To disable Stranger Mode, toggle the 'on' option. The current options are opposite what they should be.

5. Click 'save' when you are complete and your changes will apply
